i have been trying to find a copy of spaceballs for a while, used to love that film when i was younger! even tried to get it out at the local video store, but it was 2 years over due I had the same trouble. I went to about 3 different video stores to find a copy (I was going through a "relive your youth by watching movies from your youth" sort of phase) but to no avail. When I was in London, I added it to the list of movies to find on DVD. I found it. I watched it. Somehow... and I've found this true of any Mel Brooks movie I've watched in the last few years... somehow, it was so much funnier when I was eight years old. Still a few bombass lines in it, but.

It's an import from the UK. Not exactly cheap but the movie still makes me laugh everytime I watch it. Homer: When I first heard that Marge was joining the police academy, I thought it would be fun and zany, like that movie Spaceballs. But instead it was dark and disturbing. Like that movie - Police Academy.

yeah i heard Del Toro was going to be in it. but im dont think the project is even 100%. hope so though...it would be great...hes never made a bad movie, i dont think hes capable. Ha - weird that i thought of him then! He is amazing, he always seems to know which parts to pick! But uum i wouldn't say he's never made a bad movie - you might recall a little film called Excess Baggage?? Yeh Sean Penn's definately in my top ten best actors! Cusack maybe just fits in there. He's very good, but he's got nuthin on Penn. Cusack looks good though, so he gets points for that! Ewan McGregor is great in Trainspotting & Velvet Goldmine but his other stuff i'm not such a huge fan of. He was dreadful in Star Wars, and Moulin Rouge i thought would have fared better with a stronger male lead. He's cute, but i'm not a huge fan of his acting abilities. Hey, even the man himself said he can't act for shit! Yeh, she's a very 'natural' beauty. Very girl next door sort of looks. I actually havent been out to see LOTR: ROTK yet so i dunno about that girl power stuff. She didn't have that much to do in TTT so the feminist aspect didn't bother me so much. She shouldn't try - as if she could be better than Aragorn!

Hey Harvey,
I saw a restored print of "Badlands" about a week ago, so there's a print doing the rounds - you should keep checking theatres near you to see if it shows up.
I have to get off the net before I'm electricuted by this huge-arse storm passing through. Bye.

Are you trying to bait me or something? eh no? im just saying in the movies shes been beefed up with all this "feminisit grrl power youcandoanything" stuff and in the book she doesnt carry on like that, she goes out there and kicks butt and doesnt make a big deal out of it. now thats much cooler in my eyes.

Dog Day Afternoon Serial Mom The Brady Bunch Movie - 1 & 2 Wayne's World - 1 & 2 Wonder Boys The Good Girl Pi Welcome To The Dollhouse The Excorcist Heathers Pump Up The Volume The Young Poisoner's Handbook The Dark Crystal Labyrinth Punch-Drunk Love Igby Goes Down Watership Down Not Another Teen Movie Spirited Away The Last Of The High Kings Can't believe i forgot all these! I love all these movies too! I can't believe you love 'The Young Poisoner's Handbook' aswell! It's such a hilarious movie. Depressing as shit, but hilarious nonetheless! 'Last Of The High Kings' is great too - i'll have to rent it again! 'Welcome To The Dollhouse' is such a fantastic film! Have you seen 'Happiness' and 'Storytelling'? Todd Solondz directed both those too! I think he wrote them as well... Anyway - they're both really good! 'Watership Down' was one of my favourite movies as a kid, along with 'The Dark Crystal' & 'Labyrinth'! You have great taste in movies!
