Man it has been sooooo long since a proper OzFreaks meatup (that I attended of course). I'm thinking either Supanova 08 (Nat, Fliss and I) or Australia Day 08 (Nat, James, Harvey [for a bit] and I). What makes a meatup? At least three members? Discuss.

What makes a meet-up? Hmm... Three is probably a good number to start with. I do think two still counts in a way. Three plus is rocking!
Woo Mike - What's the occasion? You just miss us don't you?

Thanks for making this thread, Nat. I'm planning to come at the end of June and at the end of July, for the Kino Sydney Kabaret 2009 (Now 29th June to the 4th July - I'll probs arrive on the 28th) and the Flaming Lips concert (July 28th) respectively. Proper dates of travel will follow shortly. If any of you guys are interested in taking a couple of days off (or the whole 6 days) to participate in the Kabaret, by all means do - it's a truly awesome event and a great way to get out and make films. Even if you just want to come along to the screenings, they're great too! It's a fantastic night out with drinks supplied upon entry and fabulously fresh films made in the last 48 hours. But seriously, there's a reason I fly interstate to take part, Kino rules! sites.google.com/a/kinosydney.com/kinosydney/kino-kabaret </spruik> And sorry it took me so very long to reply to this post. :S Hope to see all you Sydneyites there.

Dearest SydFreaks,
I will no longer be coming to Sydney for EITHER of the aforementioned trips. I found out this morning that I need to have an operation later this week. I'll be out for the next 6 months. Am devastated to miss my Sydney trip, expecially sore for the fact that I won't be able to participate in the Kino Kabaret. If any of you are free then, I still strongly encourage you to take part. Am also so sad that I won't be able to hang with you guys, but it will just have to wait for another time.
Love James x

Hey guys, Following a different diagnosis, I no longer need that surgery. Just got out of hospital today, and it's back to the original schedule, just minus any drinking that would usually have occured. Well, YOU can still drink. ...Yay! See you on the 28th!

Glad to hear that nobody is going to knife you... at least not for now. Maybe on the mean streets of Sydney? Glad you are going to be looking after yourself! Don't want you any sicker. Will be good to see you. Now let's plan some stuff!
