Originally I was supposed to come on and talk for "a few minutes". However, once we got going, they let me hang out and chat for the rest of the show. I am glad they did, because I got a chance to say more (how much can you say in five minutes with three other people in the room?)

Ah, that's silly. You're like a big time fan, I think you deserve more than a few minutes. And look it all worked out.

Shame you didn't get to go to LA and meet Samm personally though.

I wasn't sure how Vegan and I were going to get along, but having listened to the first half of the commentary while they were doing it, it seemed like a very friendly atmosphere and I did not want to come on and be a big bully or ruin the vibe of it.

I'm sure if you guys ever met in person you'd probably get along fine. You'd have a lot to talk about after all. Sometimes when things are in writing they just seem worse than they really are.

You both did really well.

For a while now, I've toyed with the idea of asking Judd to do a (phone-in) commentary track for Undeclared. I don't want to come across as bigheaded, and I'm not saying that I'm the best for the job; I just don't think there has ever been a show that I've so emmersed myself in, or at least dedicated myself to as much as I have this one (including F&G and SFU).

I think you should look into it.

Why not? You have nothing to loose. As far as I am concerned you are the greatest Undeclared historian I've 'met' thus far.

If you have the confidence and ability, go for it.

They might not be up for it, though, as Undeclared never had the same fan presence as Freaks and Geeks. And I didn't even get to see the show until last year, and it's not like I post everyday on the official Undeclared board.

I know what you mean, posting on the official Undeclared is a bit like trying to get blood from a stone.

You'd post everyday though, if people replied!

I did! I taped it too!

I only heard about it a few hours before it was screened, and I was gonna start a thread about, but before I knew it 1:05am was upon me.

I was really impressed with the way it had been replicated. I knew pretty much all of the jokes from the original pilot, so it was hilarious to see how they'd made it all a bit more... Turkish.

Anyway, I'm gonna keep taping it for now. I think there're quite a few of my friends that would get a kick out of it.
