Yo ho ho... As you might've read earlier, my uncle tapes just about every primetime show there is. Seriously; it's like form of obsessive-compulsive disorder or something! He has like five VCRs so that he can tape each channel at the same time. Luckily, he's very organised about it, with every tape catalogues, etc. and he's always happy to oblige if you want copies of his tapes. I was gonna ask him for a few tapes of various series that've been on this year, namely Six Feet Under and Believe Nothing, maybe even CNNNN. In addition to this, I was gonna ask for the tapes of other series that I haven't been watching cause I missed the start, but that I have some interest in, like The West Wing, The Sopranos, 24, etc. Is there anything else I should be checking out? Alias, perhaps? I realise that most of these series are available on DVD, or even just off the net, but for monetary and download limited reasons, I have no choice but to exploit my uncle's eccentricities. On a shoestring, James (potatoes grow best in summer!) P.S. I add this line of questioning at the risk of taking the focus away from my initial post, but... what new shows are the OzFreaks planning on watching this summer?

what new shows are the OzFreaks planning on watching this summer? LOL! Ok back to shows so far this year - it hasn't been great. There are a few good documentary series on SBS at the moment like "My Voyage to Italy" and "Cinemas of the World"... you'll be glad you checked them out so catch up on those. Yeah, "Believe Nothing" is only a few episodes so why not. "The West Wing" kinda lagged in the middle of the series but boy did they bring it home in the last few episodes! You haven't seen the second series of "24"? They're replaying the first series at the moment - I assume you've seen that? Did you see all the episodes of 5 fabulous weeks of "The Chevy Chase Show" "Micallef Tonight"? Have you seen the first series of "Alias"? Don't watch the second series unless you have and you enjoy the show. It's pretty silly - but those few episodes in the first series where Quentin Tarantino guest stars are cool as ice. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head but I may be back... usually for me summer is a good chance to catch up on films, between the cricket and the Australian Open tennis.

No joke? Whoa, crazy beyond belief but very convenient.
The first series of Alias was sooooo boring. I gave it a chance then I stopped watching it, but I started watching it again this season, much, much better.
You can always watch the first season for something to do I guess, but it isn't hard to pick up on the series' happenings though.

The Office. I'd get Dead Ringers too just for the Obi Wan sketch.
