Didn't recognise her from the photo and I haven't seen anything she's been in according to imdb, apart from Zoolander but I don't remember her. So she's just a model who's had a sex tape leaked? Paris and Nicky Hilton are two heiresses to the Hilton Hotel fortune. They are notorious socialites, big-time schmoozers, part-time models and hand-bag designers (as I understand it). I've never met them (obviously) but they are widely regarded as two of the most vacuous, superficial individuals - the quintessential dumb blondes. They are famous purely for being famous. They recently 'toured' Australia on Channel 7's tab, swanning about at the Melbourne Cup, the Matrix Revolutions premiere and other stops along the way. And there was some amount of scandal over Paris' involvement with Robert "Millsy" Mills from Australian Idol. This (and the simple fact that they were here in Australia) saw their faces seemingly plastered over every kind of printed media available. Whatever. Pay them no nevermind, you'll probably be the better for it. Vitriolic for no good reason, James [as though!]

This (and the simple fact that they were here in Australia) saw their faces seemingly plastered over every kind of printed media available. Oh ok. You see I don't watch much tv, and when I do it's not Channel 7 or Australian Idol. Also, I don't read magazines, and the only parts of newspapers I read are the sports and the movie times. So usually people who are famous just for being famous, ie models, royalty and everyone on tv, sail happily under my radar. The only chat show I ever really watched was Micallef Tonight, and mostly I had no idea who the guests were. My belief is that you will live a longer, happier life if you don't watch chat shows, awards shows, or listen to breakfast or drive-time radio. Man, after Alias last night I don't think I'll even watch Channel 7 for Futurama. They should have said that "two-hour season finale" really meant a one-hour episode but with more ads.

Not me, Splash. You know when someone is a media whore? Like, when they appear on every kind of media their is? Well, I think I'm, like, a bit of a media whoremonger. I watch and read a lot of shit, half out of disgust, half out of procrastination, half out of morbid interest. It might work out if I end up doing media studies next year.
Futurama is, I think, the only thing I watch on Channel 7. I hate that they're generally so... clean. If anyone's ever seen their version of Lock, Stock then you will have seen how much they butchered it, removing entire scene punchlines and utterly destroying the fantastic rhythm of the film.
I never got into Alias. Or Dark Angel.
Staring at a screen (any screen, I don't care!), James [not an Alias]

Did I mention I've met MGF on several occassions? It's not very interesting or unique. Unique? Not at all. Hence my "but they're pretty accessible" remark. But I found them very interesting, and I love their work, so they're a highlight for me. Except Loveshark: he's a tool.

I haven't really met anyone famous. I pride myself on not being a celebrity stalker as such. You know those people that just have to have an autograph at any cost. The closest I come is autographs and pictures with rugby league players- Roosters current and old. I have a big embarrassing pic of me and Brad Fittler for example(this was when I was younger though and gave a crap). So I have stories related to that kinda thing but that's all. People I have seen but not cared to speak to- Belinda Emmett Kerry Packer Thomas Keneally (wrote Schindler's List) Bumped into Kieran from Big Brother 2 in a North Sydney nightclub and got my pic taken with him as a joke. Also saw him again at Easts Leagues after the Roosters won the grand final. (Again so not a celeb) Can't think of any others... people I would like to meet well that is another story. I'm like you James... I am a total TV Addict. Not really into magazines or newspapers, but TV is my heroin. Eck, don't get me started on Paris Hilton

Cool. Hope his directions were a bit easier to swallow than that shpiel in Reloaded.
I didn't see enough of Changi, but what I saw was really good. I also wanted to see Marking Time; I taped the first night, but forgot about it the second!
Still, John Doyle's a good bloke... Not that I've met him.

I know they are targeting us through keywords aren't they? Yeah that's true. I while back there was a banner about DVD prices for "The Big Lebowski".

Loveshark is completely mad. I think he's really funny. But you're right about Chit Chat being the nicest, he's a great guy. 3K Short is pretty cool too, he's remembered me from all the gigs I've been to.

But you're right about Chit Chat being the nicest, he's a great guy. 3K Short is pretty cool too, he's remembered me from all the gigs I've been to. Loveshark is funny, certainly (Chicken or Latches - Brilliant) but he just doesn't ever seem very cool with people talking to him, unless you're a groupie and wanna fuck him. Here's a funny little Loveshark story: my friend went to an instore signing early last year, and noticed that Loveshark's shirt looked a little dirty: My friend: (jokingly) Man, when was the last time that shirt was washed? Loveshark: (looks at him in disgust) When was the last time you were fucking washed!3K is cool too, and nice, but it was kinda funny how he kept hitting on my (then) girlfriend. He's always remembered her since then. So, hey, you planning on seeing them next time they're in town, Brian? Washing a shirt, James [oh, these stubborn grass stains!]

So, hey, you planning on seeing them next time they're in town, Brian? I just saw them at the Arena last Saturday. I may go and see them again at Woodford, but I might not. Hippies piss me off almost as much as camping does. But yeah, I usually go along to their gigs whenever they hit Brisbane or surrounding.
