You'll find the answer to your question here. Use discretion when attempting, or you'll have people baying for your carbonite-frozen carcass.Oh dear god.

Did I miss something? Our dvd's will come with a suprise. Now at this point in time I'm not 100% sure what that suprise is but I think it will most likely be some autographs from some of the cast members. We will just have to wait and see.

Wow, I went to that Jackie Chan signing. My brother wanted to jump the queue, but I said it'd be slack, and sure enough, by the time we got close for autograph, he had to go, so we didn't get autographs which was kind of a bummer. I did pick up a pretty cool Jackie Chan poster for five bucks, though. But yeah, I know what you mean about signings. I've been to one or two others, but I was pretty young, so I didn't feel awkward about it. small world. ive got a nice big Chan poster from Rumble In The Bronx up on my wall... are you a Chan fan too? his Hong Kong movies are soooo awesome.

Yeah, I'm a pretty big Jackie Chan fan, even though he's clearly wasting his talents in America (as are John Woo and Chow Yun Fat). But his HK movies are amazing, I really should see more of them. By the way, have you heard of the next Police Story movie coming out? Here's the trailer in case you haven't: asianfilmweb.de/features/trailer/newpolicestoryteaser.wmv. havent heard of it....i might donwload that trailer though. does it have Chan in it? is it American? yep his American movies have sucked ass....Rumble had some good Chan style fight scenes so its ok, but the rest havent let Chan do his thing.

Another photo link people: BrianW's picsI've also updated the links at the top of this thread so that they're readily available to visitor's. I'll make this the practice from now on. P.S. You might also want to check out Geoff's locker door. I've largely given photos of autographs a miss, but this is really something: freaklopedia.com/Tower/Locker1.htmlFrom the sound of things, the fabled Freaklopedia is almost up. I'm fit to bursting.

I love his earlier work where he wrote, directed and starred. I know the poor man's getting older so I don't expect him to be able to pull off as many stunts or be as crazy as he used to be. What I think is most disappointing is that his sense of humour is missing from the American films. Partly due to his difficulties speaking English, but mostly cuz Hollywood likes to dumb things down to feed films to the masses. I've watched his films from when I was a little kid. My dad used to hire the movies regularly from a Chinese video store. I also have the advantage of understanding Cantonese--it's very rusty though. The movies are still funny with the subtitles, but a lot of the humour (play on words, etc) are lost in translation or often left out altogether. I could go on forever about Chow Yun Fat too, but I'll stop ranting... for now.

why does everyone want to make it big in America?
fuck America...they just take all the life out of things.
Jackie was already the biggest star in the world, he didnt need fucking America to dumb him down.

Harvey, likes to talk the talk but doesn't walk the walk. He loves to consume his American pop culture products.

Come on over Harv, and I'll show you some cool stuff. We aint all bad, dude. hey? im not ragging on America or anything, i just think its an odd phenomena that Jackie Chan, by most accounts the biggest movie star in the world so desperately wanted to make it in America. and when he did he became so resoundingly mediocre. its like...you dont mean anything if your not big in the US. but then i cant be pissed off at any culture that gives us The Sopranos, even if you do have to wade through all the Joe Millionares and the like.

hey? im not ragging on America or anything, i just think its an odd phenomena that Jackie Chan, by most accounts the biggest movie star in the world so desperately wanted to make it in America. I don't blame Jackie for wanting to make it in the US, IMHO he, like most people are constantly striving to be successful, and the US always eluded him so he just kept on trying. The US movie industry has it's faults, but there's no denying that it's the holy grail mainly cuz of the flowing money and the exposure that it brings. Sure Jackie was succesful before the US took notice of him, but I don't think he broke 'cult status' globally until the US. Now this is what I'm most disappointed with. I still watch his US movies out of loyalty to Jackie, but geez do I get shitty at myself afterwards for sitting through them. I mean Claire Forlani?? Jennifer Love Hewitt??? I would have prefered cardboard cutouts: they still would be pretty to look at, they'd give the same level of acting ability, but they are much less annoying.
